KARACHI: Karakoram National Movement Sindh chapter general secretary Faqir Hussain Chandio has said the rejection of a bill seeking more rights for Gilgit-Baltistan by the Pakistani politicians and the establishment was an eye opener for the people of the region.
In a statement, he said when the rulers were not ready to accept our basic rights even after over 60 years, we should launch our own struggle for attaining the rights.
He criticized the so-called leader of the PML-Q, Marvi Memon, and said when her party was in power she remained a silent spectator and now was playing to the gallery by tabling a resolution in the house for the rights of Karakoram.
He called upon the people to jointly launch struggle for their rights. He also paid tributes to the Karakoram National Movement workers and office-bearers for holding a long march from Karakoram to Kashmir.
