India for gradual opening of routes

ISLAMABAD: During the discussions between the foreign ministers of Pakistan and India in Islamabad, the Indian side proposed to make the Sri Nagar-Muzaffarabad and Poonch-Sialkot bus services from fortnightly to weekly. There were also reports that India proposed gradual opening of Jammu-Sialkot and Kargil-Skardu routes. To implement the proposals India has already sent one of its ex-foreign secretaries Shiam Saran to Kashmir to stay in the valley for a week and examine all aspects in this regard. On the other side, after bomb blast in Jaipur India has maintained that the issue of terrorism would be high on the agenda of talks with Pakistan.
