Arrest of accused stayed
By our correspondent
Gilgit: Northern Areas chief court has issued stay order against arrest of 50 persons allegedly involved in the Big Board Advisory Service financial scandal.
In their application to the chief court, the director and fifty members of the board maintained that their detention would be unlawful and without reasons.
They stated that the federal government had already ordered hearing of accountability cases in the Northern Areas while some people in the Accountability Bureau were trying to transfer them to Islamabad.
After hearing their arguments, the court issued the stay orders.
