Warid to extend network

GILGIT: Warid Telecom has extended its services to Jaglot, Bhonji, Chilas and Hunza-Nagar.
The company also plans to launch its service in other parts of Gilgit-Baltistan including Astore and Gahkuch.
It also plans to start work on phase-II of its network extension after which it will become the biggest telecom network in the region.
The company says proceed from its income is spent on the welfare of the Muslims. It is reported that due to its rational rates and good coverage, people prefer to use its services.
It is a fact that within a short period of time over 10,000 subscribers have started using Warid service in Gilgit-Baltistan. In Chilas and Jaglot, over 80 per cent of cellphone subscribers are using Warid telecom.
After deregularization of the telecom sector in Gilgit-Baltistan, private cellphone companies are doing a roaring business in the area. Earlier, the Special Communication Organisation held sway in the sector.
